Is your cat Happy?

Your cat has a variety of ways that they use to let you know if they are happy or sad.If their ears are pricked up they are alert and showing interest in what is going on around them.you will find whiskers are pointing out to the sides of the face either bunched or fanned out this means that puss is feeling contented and comfortable. A cat will say Hello to their owner by having the tailed raised up, and will flip the tail as a sign of greeting.
a confident cat will roll over ( they love carpet) showing his tummy in passive mode. A less sure cat will just flop him or herself down at your feet for attention.
when a cat is totally happy they will purr loudly. usually the louder the purr the happier the cat is. when it is feeding time your cat /kitten will not let you forget by rubbing themself around your feet and meowing loudly! Your cat is also marking you as their property by using their scent glands beneath the chin and forehead.
Cats greet their owners when they are pleased to see them by doing a little hop with both front paws raised a few inches above the ground and doing a little chirping cry.
When cats jump onto your lap and start padding with their paws they are mimicking when they were a kitten they had to pummel their mothers tummy to stimulate the flow of milk and this habit goes on into adult life of a cat.
