More unwanted cats and kittens are being taken to rescue centres, as people are finding it too hard to feed their animals as their money is hard to come by in some circumstances. Other owners are basically cruel and haven`t bothered to research the breed of cat or have got the wrong kind of cat for their house hold, for example, by getting an older cat who likes to live indoors quietly, when they would have been better with a kitten or a young cat for a family that consists of young children.Surprisingly there are a lot of pedigree cats and kittens that find themselves in rescue shelters. People want a specific breed, then they pay a lot of money for the cat and go to a breeder, when they would have been better off giving a good home to a cat or kitten that really needs it and they would save some money in the process. The rescue centre would support their customer by giving them advice on looking after their chosen cat, and would be on the end of a phone should the owner need any help. The money that the customer pays for their cat would cover injections and the rest will go to the rescue centre, which in my eyes is much better as you are supporting abandoned animals , and are helping to keep the rescue centre going. You will be able to find breeds from a Siamese, to a Balinese cat. “Until i was looking myself for a cat online and happened to click on “pedigree cats in rescue shelters” I thought only non-breed cats found themselves in shelters! I was quite shocked when i found this out. If you are looking for a pedigree cat you will find many rescue centres in the UK. I have also found out that there is one on the Isle Of Wight! which i was very pleased about, as in the future i would like to adopt a Siamese cat!! It is wise when buying a pedigree cat is to make sure it is sold with full pedigree papers and that it is able to be registered at an official governing body such as GCCF, CFA, TICA, FIFE, (and a cat club isnt a governing body), Check that both parents are registered"Active" with an official governing body. Pedigree cats should not be rehomed before 2 to 3 weeks and certainly not before they have been checked over by a vet and fully vaccinated! Never part with money for kittens that have not been born yet Any breeders selling kittens should advise the buyer of the feeding habits and any health problems.when the kittens is sold. All new owners should neuter their cat/kittens before they go out unless they are going to be used for breeding purposes.

For a cat to have dentistry work it is just as uncomfortable as a human if not so more, A owner always cares for their own pet but some forget to make certain that their cats teeth are in good condition and that they are not suffering pain. it is the owners responsiblity to take their cat to get their teeth checked regularly. Cats will suffer dental disease if their dental health is neglected and 70% of cats and kittens that are over the age of three will have an existing problem with their teeth. Kittens will loose thier baby teeth at 4-6 months and will get their adult teeth. When an adult cat has lost all his baby teeth, they should have 30 teeth in total. It is important an adult cat has regular checkups to prevent toothache andother mouth problems,as th pain can make your cat very ill and unable to eat thier food. If you notice any signs of this (pain when eating,general strees) take your cat for a check up with your vet immediately as the consequences arefar worse ,as this cancause damge to their kidneys and heart.
